Job Overview:
This dynamic warehousing role offers a hands-on opportunity to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service within a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for the efficient flow of furniture and decor items, from receiving and inventory management to order fulfillment and quality control.
Responsibilities:
Warehousing:
- Receive and deliver all warehouse items such as decoration items and furniture to and from the warehouse accurately and on time.
- Create a well-organized and efficient warehouse that maximizes space utilization, streamline workflows, and increase operational efficiency.
- Manage inventory and keep accurate records of items and products.
- Inspect and verify the condition and health of incoming and outgoing items and record the results.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and products.
- Pack, help carry, unpack, and repack items.
- Perform tasks related to unpacking, assembling, installing, repacking, and repairing furniture and interior decoration items in the warehouse if necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels, regularly review warehoused items, and provide inventory reports.
- Prepare products, pack, and load customer orders.
- Work with the sales team to prioritize orders, resolve order issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that furniture products meet established standards physically, packaging, appearance, and product performance before being shipped to customers.
- Follow all health, safety, and security protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and all co-workers.
- Installers are expected to dress and behave professionally when visiting a customer’s location. This includes wearing clean, neat clothing that is appropriate for the job, being polite and respectful to customers, and being punctual and reliable.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, address potential hazards, and report any accidents promptly.
- Keep accurate documentation: prepare and maintain accurate records related to inventory, order processing, and warehouse activities.
- Report: provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide suggestions based on insights gained from workflow for continuous improvement to senior management.
Repair, Assembly and Installation:
- Assist with the transportation and do the installation of furniture and interior decoration items at the installation location or in the warehouse.
- Participate and supervise in loading, carrying, and unloading items accurately and carefully without damaging the product or its packaging.
- Deliver items accurately and on time according to instructions and timeline and ensure that items are delivered correctly to the customer.
- Keep accurate records of all activities, including obtaining customer approval and delivering delivery forms, and maintaining relevant documents and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Location: Must be able to work in Dubai, DIP
- Driver’s license: Must have a valid driver’s license with no negative points
- Knowledge of UAE driving laws and regulations: Must have a good understanding of UAE driving laws and regulations
- Availability to join immediately: Must be available to join the company immediately
- Work experience: Minimum of 2 years of verified experience in similar roles
- Flexibility: Must be able to adapt to a variety of work situations
- Multitasking: Must be able to multitask effectively
- Communication and customer service skills: Must have strong communication and customer service skills
